Birthday Boys and Anniversary Adventures

Truly Derrick did a fab job planning and executing the boys birthday party!
The boys invited lots of friends to come jump with them at a jump house and eat cake...
No one showed up so they invited the misc kids there to enjoy some cake and silliness!

Derrick picked out a "princess"cake!  He decided that would be better than a plain one at the last minute!
I agree!  He even bought them little princess crowns to wear!  They roped strangers into it too!

My princesses turned 12 and 13!  Hard to believe:)

Uriah chose Nachos for his birthday meal!  He and daddy created it and did a great job!  We had it for breakfast Sunday morning as they were going to be with grandparents.

 A bean dip trail
Derrick planned a get away date for our anniversary!
It consisted of going to a cooler place to hang out.
In between recovering from a hard car ride
We lounged in the hotel, read slept,
 Ate Sushi:)
I even used a blow dryer for the occasion
 salmon
 curry soup
 asparagus, shrimp yum yum

 Derrick juicing for us

I have the best husband!  Who else would spend money to do nothing with a sick wife!?
Too sick to come home...Derrick put me in a hammock and read and sang worship music to me till I was well enough to travel.
I hesitated to have these pic's taken and to post, but this is our life.  Us living despite sickness.  Us being united, us in love, us victorious.
Derrick said "Honey, peek over at me"
My turn to capture grace, love, forgiveness and joy

Rainen's 12th Birthday

Gluten Free Angel Food Cake

I found the relighting trick candles I bought last year but lost:)  So much fun to watch the boys astonishment at the relighting flames:)

A lot of smoke!

All of us posing with BIG bites, except Gabriel.  That was no pose:)

Happy Birthday Rainen!

Rainen made paleo Jumbalaya.  It was fantastic!

Birthday Show

Desert Palm Theatre

The boys went with Grandparents, Auntie Lou and cousins to see the "Andrews Brothers"
About the USO.  The boys said they liked it, with the exception of the lady that wasn't dressed proper and the kissing scene:)
