So the boys were wrestling on my bed. (Surprise!)
Flanking each other.
A term I made up for when you dig your fingers into the crease where the leg attaches to the body..
Oddly enough this area is neither the flank of a human (which is the side between the ribs and hip)
or a horse, (which is the back end)...
But Yelling out "Crease!" "Crease!" just doesn't have the same effect.
Anyway, you dig the fingers into this most ticklish spot relentlessly.
The person being flanked squirms in "I am gonna pee my pants" laughter...
They take turns...
It took a turn for the worse when Rainen bolted out of bed, and out the door. He held the bedroom door from the outside imagining how his wiry, agile brother would get him if he got out.
I had an idea...
I was going to offer my assistance to Uriah. If I stood at the sealed door banging, pretending to be him, he could sneak out my sliding door and back into the house behind Rainen.
But before I could say anything, Rainen let go of the door and gave it an extra push paving the way of his escape and knocking Uriah on the head.
I heard, but did not see the knock to the head.
As I came around the corner Uriah was holding his head crying.
Well, more like crying, staggering and rolling.
In my "seasoned parenting" as some dear friends call it I thought he was hamming it up, trying to get his brother in trouble.
I thought he got hit square on the head. It turns out the edge hit him leaving a large lump in the middle of his forehead.
Rainen felt horrible and ran to get an ice pack.
After we got him all iced up, I ran for the camera. He gave me the best wounded soldier face he could muster:)
Shedding a few tears
smiling a little now he hides under the monkey!
We went for the big guns ice pack
Rainen, Uriah and I had this hysterical conversation about him growing a horn...A unicorn horn
"I would be so embarrassed to go to school with a horn growing out of my head!"
It made me laugh so hard! things to be thankful for!
"Oh, my little unicorn"
I was thankful for my boy's attitude and humor
I asked them to show me how they love and forgive each other for the accident
They are God's good gift to me!
This is their funny, kissy love!
